Our trip, condensed for time :)

We had a nice trip to RI- well- the trip was nice. Annie and I were sick- it was cold and rainy so we really did not leave the house- and we had three kids...but it was fun to see the girls all together, and we got some nice pics!! Enjoy:

Annie is feeling MUCH better...still a little cough and snot, but definately on the mend. We went to Mimi and Papa's today to celebrate Mimi's 85th bithday! Wow! We all had a fun time, but are now tired and ready to crash...and Todd and I are ready for the girls to go back to school tomorrow :)

This one if for Nannie- Riley making yummy chocolate chip bread:
Enjoying the nice weather- it is gone now :(
We went to Jamboread last weekend- this is Annie and Riley with Lyle the Crocodile:

More germies....

It's been another rough week here at Casa Hildebrand....Annie has a pretty bad cold. She started coughing a lot over the weekend, and by Monday was really not feeling well. So, I dropped Riley off at school and Annie and I spent the day together. I made her an appt with her pediatrician b/c all of the babies in her classroom had either RSV or the flu, so I thought we might be able to catch it quick if she really had one of them. Fortunately, it was neither- just a bad cold.

Thought she was feeling better on Tuesday, so she went to school, but when I picked her up, they told me she was pretty miserable all day and was running a slight fever, so Todd stayed home with her on Wednesday.

However, the timing of all of this has been off because the girls' school was closed 1/2 day yesterday and all day today, and both of us had already taken quite a bit of time off all week, so we recruited Grams and Gramps to help watch them Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon.... it has just been really busy arranging schedules and shuffling them around. Today they came to work with me for lunch, which was actually nice, and they were both very well behaved :)

Hopefully Annie is now on the mend...she seems to be better, except now she is back in a pretty bad sleep pattern and we are struggling again with her waking up a lot...but maybe that will fix itself once she can breathe a little better and feel better overall.

So, that has been pretty consuming, and it leaves little time for anything else! Todd and I did go to a concert on Saturday night- Billy Joel and Elton John- with tickets he got me for Christmas. It was FABULOUS and so very nice to get away for a night.

So, if you have made it through all of my complaining this far- I have some treats for you!!

Bad, bad, BAD mommy

Ok, so I just realized that I never posted Annie's stats and an update from her 6 month check-up....uh, sorry :)

Weight: 17lbs. 1 oz- 80%
Height: 28 1/2 inches- still off the charts :)

Everything else went really well, except for her eyes. She was still dealing with the end of the cold, and her left eye, the one with the blocked tear duct, was particularly goopy that day. So, they referred us to a pediatric opthamologist to examine her and determine what is going on. Unfortunately, he said that if it does not clear up, the may need to "probe" it- whatever that means- and that they would need to sedate her for it....oh, god.....totally in denial about that one....lalalalalala......

However, since then- her eye has been really, really good. I hesitate to say that it has totally cleared up, because then it will jinx us, but I am wondering if we really need to even keep the appt. It is next week, so we will see what happens between now and then.....

So, that is her update. She is doing very well- starting to eat puffs, which were Riley's favorite! She really likes them, but can't quite manage yet to get them into her mouth herself. She is moving all over the place- not crawling yet, but rolling and scooting everywhere. I told Todd the other day that we need to be careful b/c she can probably get to anything on the floor now that she wants....Riley has lot of toys with little pieces- need to figure out how to keep them out of reach!

Todd and I are going out tomorrow night- concert in Charlotte- so the girls are staying with a sitter. Hope that goes well- I don't think Annie has ever been put to bed by anyone but ME....yikes!

That is it...see ya!

The teeth

I am sadly soooo behind on posting, and I know I need to catch up, but, really- I have like 10 minutes to myself each night on the computer, and addicted to Facebook and my other blog reads, so this one has been neglected. However, for those of you who frequent this blog (read: check every day!), here is a pic of Annie's toofers for you....and you can also still come back every day and check my Twitter updates on the sidebar at the right, if you haven't already found those for yourself....I try to do that each day.....

Later!

We had SNOW!!!!!!!!!

Oh, yes...and a good bit of it, too. I think we ended up with about 4-5 inches, which is quite a lot fo this part of the world. And Riley had a ton of fun in it. It started snowing around dinnertime on Sunday night, and by the time she went to bed that night I was pretty sure that we would not be having school the next day. And I was right!

So, we both bundled up about 10am and headed outside while Daddy stayed in with Annie. We made snowman and a snow angel, we threw some snowballs at the dog until she got mad and went back inside! She played on her swingset and went flying down the slide.

And then we had lunch and Riley had a little quiet time...and then she went back outside with Daddy! And they built another snowman.

Today we had a 3 hour delay- and she was hoping to play outside some more at school....
Thank goodness for the snowpants from Grams and the boots from Grandma and Grandpa Buckley....who knew we would actually get some use out of them in MARCH!!! Wild!

Enjoy the pics!!
