According to my little baby widget on the right side of the blog, tomorrow I can celebrate 200 days of being pregnant...WOW! It is weird to think of it in that way...then again, some days it feels like I have been pregnant forever :)

Had a pretty rough night last night. We have some stuff happening at work that is not all together pleasant, and it has been busy. Riley was in a great mood, which was nice, but I made dinner and then Todd took her upstairs as usual, and I joined them a few minutes later. I was sitting in my recliner, watching Snow White with Riley when the first big contraction started. This is fairly normal, so I just noted the time...and then came another about 10 minutes later, followed by another 10minutes after that...and I started to worry a little. And I had them, on and off, for the rest of the night. Never really painful, so that was good...but then I had major heartburn, and I tried to go to sleep, hoping I was just tired, and everything would stop, but I was up and down pretty much all night long...so, I am tired today...no more contractions, really, but Annie is quiet- think she had a rough night with me too :)

I have another OB appointment next week, think I will be asking her/him about this again...I did last time, and he pretty much told me to expect this for the rest of the pregnancy..but it is really nerve-wracking...

Well, I survived the busy weekend...pretty much missed my birthday all together, though! Worked from 7:30 am that morning- had about an hour at home to get Riley and Todd fed, and then back at work until about 10:30 pm. But, it is over now, and I am relieved and trying to get back to a normal schedule this week...for a few days at least, until Riley and I head to Hilton Head to join Grandma and Grandpa for a few days on the beach!

Anyway, got some pics off of Grams memory card, and wanted to share a few from events I already blogged about...so enjoy some new pictures, and Atlanta and Aquarium photos to follow:

On baby....

Ok...here is my question- I know I have written about this before, but it still amazes me....why, oh why, do people feel like they have the right to comment about my ever growing belly in ways that I, in my hormone-driven mind, find annoying and sometimes outright offensive...??? Yesterday, someone told me that I was having a boy because I am carrying so low and flabby...yes- she really said flabby. Now, come on- how can you NOT find that offensive? Then, I had someone else today tell me that I was carrying low, and was I sure I had two months left. Are you kidding me???? Ugh...so upset. I am trying my best to enjoy this pregnancy, I know it will be my last, and I want to really get the most out of it, but to be continually told I am fat...it is hard.

Baby updates

So, I think I am officially now in my 3rd trimester...can never remember if it is 27 or 28 weeks. Anyway, things are moving quickly. Kind of weird to think that this baby could be here in less than 10 weeks...but at the same time- ugh- 10 weeks is a long time away!

I am definately getting bigger- and much more uncomfortable. Sleeping is ok, but towards the end of the night, my hips and legs are achy. Mostly just really, really tired, and I know part of that is because so much is going on right now- it is Lyceum week, which means long days and a few nights- and work all day Saturday- and I know by Sunday I am going to be hurting.

Annie is moving constantly now- Todd and I were watching my belly jump again last night. Riley felt a few good kicks yesterday, too. This morning she was talking about washing her baby (she and Todd gave the dog a bath yesterday- think she might have started talking about that, and then moved on to "her baby"). I asked her what "her baby's" name was, and she said Annie...and I told her that was MY baby...she is too cute- she really thinks Annie is "her" baby...sadly, I think she has no idea what she is in for!

Still haven't done anything about the nursery- it is a huge mess...but after all of this work stuff is over, Todd will put the crib together, and I guess I will need to clean the room and start decorating! Also need to make a list of everything I need before she gets here. The girls at work are trying to plan a little shower for us- so sweet. Riley will love it! I wasn't really expecting anything, but it will be very nice, I am sure :)

Guess that is it!

Another catch up, with pictures

We had a nice weekend in Atlanta- busy, but fun. I have pictures, too, but they will have to wait for me to get some from Grams- my battery started to die halfway through the aquarium- so for now, I will do a little catch up, once again...but with pictures!

First is our Saturday morning last weekend spent fishing. One of the local parks that has a big pond opens it up once a year for a Fishing Day with kids. Riley and I joined Grams and Gramps last year, and she seemed to enjoy it, so we tried again this year. Unfortuantely, we were not successful at all in catching any fish...but Riley had fun anyway!

I think I also promised pictures from our Mother's Day at Mimi and Papa's house, also last weekend. We had a nice time, and tried to get a pic of Kaitlyn on her first Mother's Day with all of the ladies of the family, but as you can see, she wasn't too happy about it! I think by this point, she was pretty sick of the camera...but she will learn quickly that it will be just a part of her life that she needs to get used to, just like the rest of us!!

And then one of me and Riley:

And the four generations:

I passed!

Had an OB appt today, and I had the 1 hr. Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT)..and I passed! I was so nervous, because I failed the one hour with Riley and had to take the 4 hour at the hospital- so I was determined to pass this one. Had some scrambled eggs for breakfast- and that was it- and it worked!

Anyway, everything is measuring on target. Gained 19 lbs in 27 weeks- I think that is pretty good, and probably right in line to gain 25-30 lbs overall. Measuring well. I asked him about the Braxton Hicks contractions that I have been having- they have been getting more frequent over the last few weeks- but he said as long as I don't have more than 6 in 1 hr, then I am ok. And to try and rest a little more- ya, right...I have something almost every day for the next two weeks, so resting is pretty much out of the question right now :)

Well, that is about it...Riley and I are on our own again tonight- Todd had two concerts in a row, and then tomorrow is her Trike-A-Thon at her school..which, oh yeah, I am pretty much planning and executing myself..and then we leave on Friday for Atlanta and the Aquarium and Kaitlyn's Christening...and next week is Lyceum!! Busy, busy :)

Mother's Day Recap

We had a very nice Mother's Day. Riley slept until about 8am, which was great! (By the way...she had been getting up pretty early lately, and then I realized that when we moved her into her new bedroom, I did not move the black curtains- really just a black piece of fabric- that I had over her windows. So, I put it back..and BINGO- she is sleeping until about 8am again...ah, heaven for this sleepless Mama!!)... Anyway, we watched a Blue's Clues in bed together- another routine we have started on the weekends so I can lay down for *just a little longer*, and then she and Todd headed to Dunkin Donuts to buy donuts and get me a (decaf) coffee. They were gone for almost an hour, so by the time they got back we had to hurry through breakfast and showers and headed off to Mimi and Papa's house!

Everyone was there, and it was very nice. Riley ate a great lunch, and then took a nice nap, and then we opened presents and had chocolate cake for dessert- yum! We were able to finalize our plans for next weekend- more on that at a later date! And then we headed home and Riley and I spent some time blowing bubbles- her latest new obsession- on the back porch. It is really great- she goes out there and will be out for at least a half hour, so I can make dinner or do whatever...she just plays out there by herself- she is contained, so I don't have to worry about her- but she is also getting fresh air! And then we watched some more Sleeping Beauty and she went to bed great...and then Todd and I watched the best Survivor final EVER!!!

Guess that is about it...I have pictures, and also pics from our trip fishing on Saturday, but need to get them off the camera.

Make sure you take my little poll over on the sidebar!!

More later.....

A new place to live

Hi everyone. I have been thinking about changing locations for my blog for a while, and decided to play around with it and see what happens. Hope you like the new home!
