Slightly freaking

Ugh...they are prediciting a big snowstorm in RI today and again on Sunday....starting to freak- my worst nightmare would be getting stuck in Detroit with the kids overnight. Need to relax...can't do anything about it, right?!

So, the last two nights I have put Annie down in her crib, still awake, and she has FALLEN ASLEEP. On.her.own.....holy is just amazing how much of a better sleeper she is lately. Of course, now I have jinxed myself and she and I will never sleep again! :)

Riley seems to be on the mend. She went to school today- was fine all day, but I could tell when I picked her up she was tired- she probably overdid it again...she came home and went right to the toilet and sat there with her head in it for 15 minutes....never got sick, though. So I convinced her to eat a little something (turns out she ate very little at lunch today), and then she was ok. Think she is just sore, and nervous....don't blame her one bit. Poo little thing....

That is to get ready yo put myself to bed....

Ok, so I just checked Riley's compare, even though I know you are not supposed to....

Riley wasn't 27 inches until she was 8 months old!!!! Weight is a little 4 months Riley was 14 Annie isn't too far off there.....she is going to be tall, this one!!!!!

Four month check-up

Riley, Annie and I all went to the pediatrician this morning- Annie had her 4 month check up and I brought Riley along because she was sick again last night so I decided to have her checked out, just to make sure it was a bug and not something else. It was, indeed, a stomach virus...and she is doing much better now that the nice doctor told her that she needed to eat and drink to feel better...right now she is yelling at me from her room because she doesn't want to take a nap...feeling much better, obviously!!

Anyway, Annie remains a huge child :) Seriously, though, she is a are the stats:

Weight: 15 lbs, 3 oz- 75 percentile
Height: 27 1/2 inches...still off the charts- way, way off..more so than last time!!!!!

At least she is consistent!!!

Annie turned 4 months old was a really busy day here at work- we have a trainer helping us with our database so I was away from my desk all day- and Riley was sick this weekend and stayed home with Todd we really did not do anything to acknowledge her birthday :( She celebrated by deciding to get up several times last night to party :) So much for our better sleeping trend....

Anyway, here is a pic from her Christening over Thanksgiving weekend....isn't she beautiful???

No longer missing....

Yikes- haven't posted in a really, really long time...although I did add that little countdown to Christmas in my side bar. Like it? I don't because it freaks me out that there are only 11 days left until Christmas....I have so, so much to do...hence the fact that I haven't had the time to blog!

Having such a late Thanksgiving has really thrown me off...add to that the fact that we had it at our house, plus Annie's Christening and all of the wonderful people who came to visit....yikes- I am sooo behind with everything.

Riley and I did almost finish the Christmas cards today, and most of the cookies I had to make are finished- one more batch to go tonight and they should be ready to go to their various places on Monday. Shopping has been crazy- we bought some stuff here, bought some online and the other stuff we will purchase when we get to RI....

Other that than, I am just sitting here waiting for Annie to wake from her nap...yes, you read that right. She has actually been sleeping now for two hours!!! Not sure if it is the book I read, or the fact that she is a little older or what...but she has really been sleeping better these days. I intentionally said better, but not good :) She is still waking 2-3 times at night to nurse, but depending on when I go to sleep and when I wake up, sometimes it isn't too bad. For example, last night I went to bed early- 9ish. She woke around 10:30 to eat, then at 2:30 and again at 6. So, if I hadn't gone to bed so early, and it was a weekday and I would have just stayed up after her 6 am nursing...well, then she would have only been up once!!! Still too much, but definitely a step in the right direction. I can almost function now!!!

So, that is about it...have a ton of pictures, as usual, to get up. Hopefully I can get some up before we leave since I will have a ton to post when we get back :)
